Mission Statement.The mission of MPH Program is to prepare a new generation of specialists with the capabilities to effectively protect and improve Public Health in modern Russia , and to respond to challenges of the 21st century.

The objectives of the Program are the following:

  • Education of students with different backgrounds in a multidisciplinary masters Program based on scientific prevention approach. Providing the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary for research and practical activity in Public Health.
  • Participation of the students in basic and applied research, directed toward understanding of the biological, epidemiological, behavioral (psychological and sociological), ecological, political and economic factors affecting the Public Health.
  • Preparation of specialists for leadership positions in Public Health Programs carried out by governmental, municipal and non-governmental organizations.

Specialization Offered. The Program offers several major fields of specialization in Public Health:

  • Epidemiology;
  • Environmental Health;
  • Biostatistics;
  • Sociology and psychology of health;

When submitting their applications, the applicants will be given the opportunity to choose major field of specialization. Those who would successfully complete training and defend master's thesis will be awarded with the Certificate of the Master of Public Health, with the appropriate field of specialization indicated in the document.
